For this project, I have elected to create an archviz inspired rendition of my own home in Unreal Engine 4. I felt this would be a technological challenge, as it meant learning new toolsets and techniques to create a realistic depiction of my home and the elements within it.
I modelled each asset in Autodesk Maya and textured using Substance Painter, finally compositing my scene in UE4 with complex lighting processes to create the visual fidelity I was going for.
I found the asset work really engaging, though I learned a lot towards the end of the project that could have made the beginning of the project a lot easier. Overall I know I could always improve, and hopefully next year I will have the opportunity to show that this is a positive thing!
