Lacey Richards

Lacey's project has been inspired by cityscapes and sounds of the city, using the opportunity of the Art & Design trip to Rome earlier this year to record new and exciting sounds from that dynamic city and contrast them with the sounds of the city she is most familiar with, Sheffield. Lacey then deconstructed these sounds to create art pieces, inspired by pattern, geometry and shape. Lacey's work is interactive and if it were to be exhibited it would be an instillation that the viewer can interact with. It is also worth mentioning that Lacey is a young carer for her mother and the main earner in her household, yet this did not deter from her complete commitment with her studies throughout the course.
